No matter where you live in Australia, or for that matter, the world, we can design and manufacture your perfect wedding, engagement or commitment ring. Our retail store and workshop is located in Adelaide but the majority of our customers are spread around Australia. Our in-house, qualified jewellery designer can work with you to design your dream wedding or engagement ring. All pieces are then handmade in our workshop using world first, eco-friendly techniques that minimise the impact on our environment. During the entire design and production process, we will email progress updates of your piece from design to completed piece. Ethically sourced diamonds, gems and metals
Ethical sourcing of materials is extremely important to us. Currently the coloured gem market is not regulated in any way. This has lead to the prevalence of child labour, poor health and safety, low wages for miners and cutters and disastrous environmental degradation. The Kimberly Process was put in place to stop the issue of blood diamonds but unfortunately it has been shown to be inadequate in its reach and was never designed with environmental protection in mind.
These issues have lead us down two paths, that of vintage/antique and sustainably mined. Our vintage and antique gems are carefully checked before use and in the case of some antique stones, refinished to restore them to their former beauty. Our sustainably mined gems and diamonds are all traceable from the mine, through the cutting floor right to our store. This enables us to choose mines that have comprehensive policies in place to protect the environment, workers and local communities. Many of our precious stones have independent certification others are from local small miners and cutters. Varied approaches need to be taken to obtain different gems while providing protection to our eco-systems, we have the expertise to provide what your heart desires.
