2.20ct Australian parti Sapphire, Yellow Teal Green- Round cut
This is a very high quality Australian sapphire, completely untreated. Its colour is a beautiful mix of yellow and green that dances around the gemstone flashing loads if teal. The faceting pattern is very interesting, with a small table and a extra facets on the pavilion to add extra sparkle. It has a few very small inclusions that we have tried to show in the highly magnified photos, but these are very, very hard to see in person. Its these small inclusions that help identify it as an untreated sapphire, making it a very rare, high quality gemstone, perfect for an engagement ring or other heirloom quality piece.
Sapphires are the second hardest natural gemstone after diamond. Hardness is very important if the piece is to be worn daily, as in the case with an engagement ring. Sapphires are one of the few gemstones suitable for this purpose and Australian sapphires are some of the worlds best. If this sapphire is not exactly what you are after or if you have other requests please contact us as we have a vast collection and a wonderful group of miners who toil day in day our looking for more of these enchanting and enduring crystals.
