A wonderful long and elegantly formed Marquise shape sapphire. Its a lovely mix of blue, yellow and green that dances in the light, changing slightly depending on the light source. Its an unending kaleidoscope of colour that will give infinite interest. Ethically sourced, direct from the miner in Queensland. Its size and shape would suit both horizontal or vertical designs and styles.
Sapphires are the second hardest natural gemstone after diamond. Hardness is very important if the piece is to be warn daily, as in the case with an engagement ring. Sapphires are one of the few gemstones suitable for this purpose and Australian sapphires are some of the worlds best.
