Our Karrawirra Parri ring is an ode to the wonderful river that has snaked its way down through the hills around Adelaide for millennia, spilling onto the planes in time of flood. This little river or in summer, group of linked billabongs has had a troubled time over the last few hundred years, but with careful management it will continue to provide a place of refuge from the ever growing big town of Adelaide. Also known as the Torrens river, Karrawirra Parri is the name given to the river by the local Kaurna people. If you spend some time traveling along its length you may see some of the remaining massive trees that gave its name, "river of the redgum forests".
Silver versions of this ring are oxidized slightly with a sulphur solution used in organic gardening to replicate the oxidization that will happen naturally over time. The details will wear, especially if made from silver as its softer than white gold. While this can be rectified by refinishing the ring every 5-10 years we prefer to let our rings age gracefully with time, keep them clean, definitely, but wear is a sign of time and time a sign of true love.
