Nardoo Ring, 18k yellow gold, 20.50ct Australian Clear topaz and Australian, Argyle white and champagne diamonds
This lovely Nardoo ring is made from 100% recycled 18k yellow gold. It features a large 20.5ct Australian clear topaz from Queensland and wonderful Australian Argyle white and champagne diamonds. Its a very comfortable piece to wear and its sweeping design reflects light in incredible ways. The topaz was mined by hand near O'Brians creek, a dry almost desert area of Queensland Australia. It was cut by local master stone cutter Scott Langford. Its a lovely piece with amazing inclusions that are thought to be hollow growth tubes filled with an iron based material giving a red brown, almost rusty tone. The inclusions are such an incredible shape, very similar to upward reaching lightning know as a sprite. These aren't seen in Australian topaz often and rarely captured so beautifully.
Our Nardoo collection takes its design cues from the Marsilea drummondii fresh water native Australian plant. It has a beautiful shape, a mix of four leaf clover and floating Lilly pad. Our design takes this shape and adds an ethically sourced gemstone in the form of a water droplet.
